Dear Center Grove Family,
Praise the Lord for what He has done at His church in 2008! It is exciting to reflect on the past and even more exciting to pray through what the future holds. You are an incredible body of believers and I look forward to traveling on this journey with you.
You will be hearing a lot over the next few weeks and months about vision and refining the direction that God would take His church at Center Grove. I ask that you join me in praying that God would reveal to us clearly each step along this journey and that we would be obedient in them. There is no limit to what God can do in and through each of us if we will walk in love and obedience to Him. I pray you have an incredible 2009!
In this newsletter you will see some information about events that are coming up in the month of January, but I want to specifically mention two of them. The Severn Baptist Church Men’s Conference is on January 17th and we need to RSVP as soon as possible. If you would like to go please let me know. I’ll be announcing this in church as well. Also on January 18th we will be having our commissioning service for Miss April Johnson as she prepares to leave for Africa. There will be a covered dish lunch following the service, where we will also present to her items she needs for her time in Africa. There is a sign-up sheet with the items she needs in my office. Let’s send April off to the field with an assurance of our support and love!
