Dear Center Grove Family,


What a wonderful time of the year we are entering. As we enter into November our hearts and minds are consistently reminded of all we have to be thankful for. We should, as children of the Lord, always recognize these things, but I pray Thanksgiving would be a time when God refreshes our love and gratefulness to Him. I pray that you will have opportunity to spend time with your families, and others that you love.
We find ourselves in the midst of a very important time in the life and history of Center Grove Baptist Church. We should very shortly have the final plans to present for the building of our new educational wing. We continue to see new families joining us on a consistent basis, and there are many that are on the verge of giving their lives to Christ and others that will join our fellowship. May we always make new folks feel welcomed in the fellowship here at Center Grove and may God use each of us to glorify Him and fulfill His will at His church.
I want to close by reminding you of two special ministries that will continue during November. First of all, November is the month in the North Carolina Baptist State Convention that we focus on and support the ministry of the Baptist Children’s Homes of NC. Jeff Joyner, one of their representatives will be with us sharing about this ministry on family night in November. We will be receiving the Thanksgiving Offering which supports Baptist Children’s Homes through the month of November. I encourage you to give generously to this offering. Also, Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes will be turned in during November. Please make every effort to make this a project you and your family support. What a wonderful way to touch the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ and bring a smile to a child’s face in the process.
